The Oneness Of God
- Item #: 011

Trinitarians love to point out that the Hebrew word 'echad' ('one') is a plural form, thus God must be a trinity. The argument is that the Shema, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord" (Deuteronomy 6:4) which implies His 'oneness' is really a reference to a corporate unity of three persons. Additionally Trinitarians claim the Hebrew word 'yachid,' the singular form of one, would have been used instead of 'echad' the plural form of one. It sounds fairly compelling until you search out all instances where 'echad' is used.
This audio will take you through some of the many Scriptural verses that demonstrate the word 'echad' being used as an absolute one or the only one. It turns out 'echad' can also mean an absolute one or only one.
